| A few of my friends listen to Scharff describe the meaning of Goose Rock which lies above the eddy. In the old days hunters would be rowed out to the rock and wait for migrating geese to come down river. The boats would anchor further downstream and wait to grab the geese that the hunters bagged as they floated by. | ||
